Creatives must not be constrained and even an original idea or an error can lead to a major technological evolution.

In the end, innovation remains at the service of the company's overall strategy.

Management of innovation

There are 2 types of innovation that are essential to sperate:

  • Breakthrough innovation with existing technology but a new business model

  • Radical innovation with the emergence of new technologies.

In both cases, to innovate, it is essential to build a climate of confidence, to integrate external perspectives

of customers but also suppliers or other partners to bring added value.

Collective genius outweighs the individual and a well-phased experimentation (objective, adherence, feasibility, reliability, value creation analysis) is a major advantage.

Methodologies

Some methods can stimulate creativity and help to achieve the result faster:

  • The Scrum Method, an "Agile" method mainly used for IT development projects but which can be diverted to other project management processes

  • The Minimum Sustainable Innovation System

  • The Brain-Storming that takes all its value with individuals who express their difference with serendipity and interdisciplinarity

  • And give the objectives: the products or services are not created in the absolute. Basics such as planning and budget remain necessary. So the company needs clear input data: market analysis and customer needs ... and a vision of the future.

Realization examples:

  • Definition of new product lines including new technologies

  • New business model for an existing product line

  • Adaptation of an existing product range to a new market segment
